Hollywood Comes to the Metaverse as Display Social, Thunder Studios, and Infinite Reality Combine to Form a Multi-Billion Dollar Metaverse Entertainment Co.

Social media ecommerce platform Display Social, better known as the “social that pays,” announced this week that it has successfully completed the acquisition of both Thunder Studios and Infinite Reality. The combined entity will equip the creator economy with an unprecedented suite of creative tools covering social, gaming, virtual and remote production, NFT minting, and Metaverse creation. The consolidating companies have not disclosed details of the transaction.

With their robust merged assets, the combined company is set to offer a unique mix of metaverse creation tools, an integrated social platform for creators, and a 150,000 square foot Los Angeles-based facility featuring virtual production capabilities, an esports arena, dedicated XR stage, and motion capture and volumetric stages. The immediate focus will be to develop web-based, open metaverse tools for creators to bring Hollywood-quality production value to content broadcast in and from the Metaverse. Thunder Mobile Broadcasting Kicks Off the New Year on the Road with the Rose Parade🌹

This year, Thunder Mobile Broadcasting returned with client Univision to broadcast the 133rd Rose Parade in Pasadena. Our team is no stranger to the internationally broadcast event, and Univision has trusted us to broadcast the parade on their behalf for the past 11 years. Thunder provided mobile broadcast units, a full technical crew including technical director, assistant director, graphics operator, video control operator, replay operator, audio technicians, camera operators, engineering services, lighting director, lighting assistants, and production assistants, security, generators, as well as grip and lighting rentals.
